Fall 2026: IAP Kick Off
In Fall 2026, you’ll begin with the IAP Kick‑Off, where you’ll be introduced to the overall IAP process, hear alumni insights and examples, and spend time exploring potential topics and brainstorming ideas.
A leadership initiative you develop and drive during WLP, grounded in structured support and accountability as you identify a challenge, propose a solution, and apply program tools to move meaningful work ahead.
The Individual Action Project (IAP) is a self-directed leadership project designed to help you apply your WLP learning in a meaningful and tangible way within your workplace. There is no single "right" project. Your IAP should reflect your goals, your organization's needs, and the leadership opportunity you want to pursue. As described in the WLP IAP Guidelines, the project is intentionally participant-driven because you are the expert on your role, your organization, and the challenges and opportunities in front of you.
In Fall 2026, you’ll begin with the IAP Kick‑Off, where you’ll be introduced to the overall IAP process, hear alumni insights and examples, and spend time exploring potential topics and brainstorming ideas.
During November and December, you’ll move into Project Scoping and Planning. In this phase, you’ll finalize your topic, identify key stakeholders, create your action plan, and gather feedback from your Peer Mentor Group.
Throughout Winter and Spring, you’ll focus on Implementation and Iteration. You’ll execute your project, measure outcomes, adjust your approach as needed, and continue engaging with your Peer Mentor Group for support and accountability.
Deliver outcomes that demonstrate growth for you and meaningful value for your organization.

Your IAP does not need to be fully executed by graduation. What matters is that you complete the IAP framework — defining your challenge, outlining your solution, mapping your stakeholders, and demonstrating how you’ve begun moving your project forward. We understand that some initiatives naturally require a longer runway to fully implement, and that’s completely okay. The goal is meaningful progress, clear direction, and thoughtful reflection, not rushing a project that deserves more time.
