Your central reference guide for all program information, expectations, session details, and support resources throughout the program.
The Women’s Leadership Program (WLP) is a fully in‑person, 9‑month development experience designed to strengthen how you lead, collaborate, and influence across Greater Boston. Throughout the year, you’ll move through a sequence of core leadership sessions, optional networking opportunities, and two signature experiences — the highly recommended Pinnacle Awards celebration and a required Behind‑the‑Scenes of a Women-Led Business event. You’ll also be part of an assigned peer mentor group, a small cohort that supports you as you shape and advance your Individual Action Project. Together, these elements create a clear, connected, and energizing journey that helps you apply new tools in real time and grow your leadership practice with confidence.

Across nine months, you’ll participate in a series of in‑person leadership sessions designed to introduce new tools, deepen your practice, and strengthen how you lead and collaborate. Each session blends interactive learning, reflection, and real‑world application.
Session Prework: Expect 1–2 hours of pre‑work per session, uploaded in advance and attached directly to your calendar hold so you always know what’s coming.

You’ll be assigned to a small Peer Mentor Group, offering each other support, accountability, and space to workshop ideas — especially as you develop your Individual Action Project.

Your Individual Action Project (IAP) is a leadership initiative you design and drive throughout the program. You’ll identify a challenge or opportunity — often one connected to your organization — and propose a solution you can meaningfully influence. Over the nine months, you’ll refine your idea, outline your approach, and spearhead the execution, applying the tools and frameworks introduced in WLP to move your project forward.
The Learning & Development team guides every part of your Women’s Leadership Program experience — from session design to participant support to the overall arc of the 9‑month journey. They’re your partners throughout the program, here to provide clarity, encouragement, and the resources you need to make the most of your time in WLP.
